Urban Ecological Stewardship Planning
The majority of the surface area of many cities studied is actually composed of private green space, yet cities have only just begun to understand how to enhance the ecosystem services of this major land base. This research describes emerging initiatives, policies and programs that incentivize cities and their citizens to work collectively toward urban ecological stewardship in places that are typically composed of many small, individually owned parcels for compounded environmental and social benefits.
